Holistic massage
My approach
My style is slow and rhythmic, with an emphasis on maintaining a grounded presence, so that in turn, you can be present in your body. My practice is grounded in the knowledge that we co-regulate through connection.
I use empathic touch to help you drop into the dreamy, liminal space of relaxation.
I work with the wisdom of your body, and encourage you to recognise the signals from your body as sovereign.
Your massage will be tailored to how you’re feeling on the day that you arrive. No two massages are the same.
Pregnancy massage
I'm trained in pregnancy massage and know how to support you throughout the different trimesters of pregnancy. I'm also trained in energetic techniques to connect you and your baby.
Clear communication
I seek clarity on non-verbal messages from your body - checking what your experience is too. I'm happy to drop into silence during sessions, but I ask that you communicate if something new or surprising comes up for you.
Energetic awareness
My work is most enriching when I’m able to give clients an embodied experience of many layers – physical, emotional and energetic. I practice reiki, and can offer this as part of your session.
Working at depth
I'm comfortable working at depth, which is done with patience, care and communication. I enjoy exploring the edges of 'good pain' with you, but with respect for when your body says 'no'.
What to expect
Prior to your first session, we'll have a free 15 minute consultation on the phone to ensure I have a clear understanding of your needs and what you’re looking for during massage.
Following sessions will still include an in-person consultation, but this will usually be briefer – around 5 minutes.
Exploration beyond the back
Back massage is a go-to for many – but I encourage exploration beyond your back and shoulders.
Sensory nerves pick up sensations of touch – and the back has a lower density of sensory nerves. The face, hands and feet are sensitive to touch and can be therapeutic areas for exploration.
Communicating sensations and limits
Through communicating the sensations in our bodies – our limits and when we want more – we can build trust, in ourselves, in our knowledge of our own needs, and with others.
